Ancient Grudge

Pru has a past that's catching up to her, though no one has ever told her the truth about herself or that past. She lives the life of a person lost in the world as she flounders to make her way through it. Her mother is long dead. Her father, more recently deceased, left her with only a stepmother who is doting if not a little overprotective of Pru's common, monotonous life.

Enter Knox, a dark stranger with a thirst for life and death. Someone who has found Pru irresistible and wants to weave her into his life of danger and deception. He's attached himself to Pru in order to rob her of a deadly device that has come into her possession as an unassuming gift, but once he's encountered her, he's powerless to leave. He sees a future on the horizon as he's never seen it with anyone else, but will he curse her to that life in spite of his desire for her? In spite of what's coming for her?
