Om Community Nutrition Resilience in Greater Miami
This book explores the concept of food system resilience and discusses how Greater Miami & the Beaches (GM&B), a collaboration formed in 2016 by Miami-Dade County, the City of Miami Beach and the City of Miami, is working towards creating a resilient food system for the 5.9 million people in its communities.
The book discusses MiamiΓÇÖs challenges operating in a country and state that does not support climate adaptation and analyzes what Miami has been doing and what it still needs to do in response to environmental and social challenges, with the goal of providing food security. Lastly, the book examines case studies from other coastal cities to identify best practices and lessons learned.
