Moses told the Hebrews that the LORD brought them out of Egypt so that He might bring them into the Promised Land. Like the ancient Israelites, Christians have both an "out of" aspect and an "into" aspect of their faith.

Christians experience the "out of" aspect of faith when they are redeemed by "Christ our passover lamb." But many Christians never experience the "into" aspect of faith. They never enter into an exciting Promised Land that flows with milk and honey; they spend their lives aimlessly wandering in the wilderness between Egypt and Canaan, fluttering like a butterfly from one Christian fad to the next.
