In 2020, Charles Cooper published his last poetry book, The More Complete Second Verse. It was meant to be complete, and perhaps there would be a third verse, but other ventures loomed larger than poetry. Then, COVID happened. Like so many things ventures were put on hold and Poetry, which people turn to when all else fails them, became a safe space to reflect on the things which otherwise go unsaid.
