Economic Development with Special Reference to East Asia

'Economic Development with Special Reference to East Asia' was the theme of a conference held by the International Economic Association at Gamagori in Japan. The purpose of the conference was to bring together economists concerned with growth and developments who were working in the various countries of East Asia, and to enable them to meet and discuss mutual problems with a number of economists from outside the region.
