Forceleap Farm

Rosalie Jourdemayne could not be more happy. Her abusive husband of
thirteen years is dead at last.
Even though she is still a young woman, she is determined to make a vow of celibacy to protect her new found freedom as a widow and her wealth as owner of Forceleap Farm, on the Marlborough Downs in Wiltshire.

She sets out to learn what she can about caring for the beautiful Long Horned cattle for which her farm is famous.
Her agricultural neighbours and some men of the town have other ideas and Rosalie soon realises she will have to be utterly steadfast if she is to achieve her wish to make that vow. Beset on all sides by avaricious and obstructive men, she realises she is merely a woman in a totally man's world.
Can she fight off the attention of the men wishing to marry her or will she succumb to the romantic persuasions of the most handsome of them?
Will she end up giving in, 'for her own good'?
Only one man is truly sincere and faithful in his affections. Will
Rosalie realise this before it's too late or will she give up her one true chance of happiness forever?
