The Chemistry of Stroke

After heart attacks, stroke is the third leading cause of death in the Western population. In adults, stroke is the leading cause of motor disability and the second leading cause of dementia. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), every year, 15 million people in the world suffer a stroke. Although the highest incidence is in the elderly, we note that stroke also occurs in young people, i.e. brain damage. In this book, we analyse that the progressive incidence of stroke is due to the wrong way of feeding ourselves with the meat of an animal.
