The Frozen

The Bio World War that decimated earth's population a thousand years ago was just the start. Though few survived the apocalyptic horrors, people and technology eventually bounced back. Christians, following a pieced-together version of the Bible called the Flawless Word, took over the earth. Striving to rid the earth of mutations, disease, and disabilities--and become as much like God as possible--they required biological and spiritual purity for everyone.

Those who fall short of this ideal--the Impures--are cryogenically frozen as an act of mercy. If their deficiencies remain uncorrected for 200 years, they are purged into space.
