John Ajvide Lindqvist är en svensk författare född 1968 i Stockholm. Han är mest känd för sina romaner och noveller med skräckteman. Debuten som författare kom när John Ajvide Lindqvist år 2004 lanserade vampyrromanen låt den rätte komma in som utspelar sig i hans födelseort Blackeberg. Boken handlar om 12 årige Oskar som blir mobbad och han drömmer om att en dag får hämnas tillbaka, att få slippa skolan och om att få straffa mobbarna Jonny och Micke.
