Om The Kingdom of God
In the last days, Satan’s power will become so great that even the strongest of Christians will be seduced by a false and misleading gospel message (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12). If the elect in the church can be deceived that easily, you have to wonder about the spiritual stability of the average parishioner. Today, surveys show that the majority of professing Christians do not have an accurate understanding of God, His Word, or His plan for the salvation of man. It is because of this spiritual ignorance many fall victim to the lie that there is more than one path that leads to heaven.
When one buys into this lie, five critical Bible truths will be rejected. First, the Bible is the inerrant, unchanging Word of God. Second, Jesus Christ is God incarnate. Third, belief in Christ’s death, burial and physical resurrection is essential toward salvation. Fourth, only those who are born again with God’s indwelling Holy Spirit are saved. Fifth, there is eternal conscious punishment for those who do not accept Jesus as the absolute Lord and Savior.
Satan wants you to believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ is complicated and needs a specific church or Bible translator before it can be understood. When in reality, it is so simple a child can understand it. Like all of God’s Word, the Gospel has not changed in any way since it was first given to the church two-thousand-years ago.—2 Timothy 3:16-17.
