Transnational Trajectories in East Asia

This book examines increasing regional and global interconnectedness in East Asia, as seen through trade, investment, migration and popular culture. In turn, it also considers renewed national assertiveness and nationalist impulses in the region. The book interrogates these seemingly contradictory developments, and the impact they have had on the transformations of the nation and citizenship in East Asia.
