The world's culture tells us to promote ourselves and our pursuits even if it means stepping over others, while the Bible says that there is a cross to carry and people to love. Two ways of thinking, but only one of them will bring revival to the church.

In Worldly Culture in a Holy Church, Janice Broyles dives into the differences between worldly culture and the culture of God's church and presents Biblical reasons why these two world views should not mix. Specific sins are discussed as areas of concern. These include apathy, idolatry, gluttony, pride, self-centeredness, and jealousy, among others. There is hope for today's church, and it starts with each of us choosing to rid ourselves of the world's culture and choosing Jesus instead.
