Protecting Biological Diversity

Access and benefit-sharing (ABS), a market-based approach, has emerged as among the most prominent approaches undertaken to stop or lessen the global loss of biodiversity. This book examines the effectiveness of this approach as well as the extent that there has been fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising from the commercialization of genetic resources.
